Glamping Operator's Occupancy Jump: Three Pods, Three Days
A seasonal pitch on an Andalusian olive grove became a year-round, Instagram-famous destination — with three A50 capsules and a sea view that books itself.
The Challenge: A Beautiful Plot with a Seasonality Problem
Amara Reyes runs a small hospitality plot on her family's olive grove above the Andalusian coast. Tents and rustic cabins brought summer crowds — then silence from November to April. Banks wanted heavy construction guarantees for anything permanent, and every traditional quote came with six months of permits attached.
She needed units that were fast to deploy, movable if needed, and photogenic enough to market themselves — on a budget that didn't require mortgaging the grove.
The Solution: Three A50 Single-Level Capsules
Amara chose the A50 — the 8.5-meter single-level capsule with a continuous panoramic glass wall. Three units were positioned in a staggered arc so every pod gets an unobstructed sea view without overlooking its neighbor.
- Steel-leg foundations: zero concrete, minimal ground disturbance on the olive terrace
- Solar-ready design: rooftop integration covers roughly 60% of daily energy use
- Smart interior: voice-controlled climate and lighting, spa bathroom, queen bed facing the glass
- Permit-friendly: classified as movable units in her jurisdiction — weeks, not months
Install Week: Faster Than the Fence
The three pods arrived in one 40HQ container. A local crew with a mobile crane placed and leveled all three units in three working days — Amara's new perimeter fence, started the same Monday, took four.
- Day 1: Container unloaded, pads positioned, pods craned into place
- Day 2: Utilities hooked up, water and power tested, decks attached
- Day 3: Interior staging, photography, first booking went live that evening
The Results
The glass wall did what no ad could. Guests tagged the pods relentlessly; within two months the site was the most-tagged accommodation in the region. Occupancy jumped 40% versus the previous tent operation, and — the bigger surprise — bookings kept coming through winter for "storm-watching season."
At current rates and occupancy, the three-pod fleet is on track to pay for itself inside 22 months, and a fourth pod (an A50 Pro, for families) is already in production.
"Three pods installed in three days, fully furnished. My Airbnb occupancy jumped 40% that season. The build quality genuinely feels like a spacecraft."
